Brittni DeWeese was born in Indianapolis, but grew up in Shelbyville and Waldron Indiana. She has always drawn on and off all her life! Graphite used to be Brittni's medium of choice, but after her husband showed her how to work with charcoal, her mind was made! She delved intensely into charcoal in 2012 after they moved to San Francisco and she didn't have a job. Soon, what once was a time passing hobby turned into a part time job.
Brittni loves to create realism work with charcoal because she loves the dramatic look of deep black and bright white; she loves the contrast! Her favorite imagery to draw is anything dark (especially skulls), beautiful women, or anything with dramatic lighting. She does dabble into other areas nonetheless.
She can be contacted for commission work as well. As long as someone has a good, high quality photo (or lets her take a photo), she can recreate it. Brittni has completed commissions of pets, people, memorial pieces, etc.. Just email [email protected] for details!
